In spring 2024, the JustizzentrumErhalten initiative launched an open call on the future of the Justice Centre. Novel, unconventional, bold and experimental ideas and visions for the future of the existing building were sought. In July, the 121 entries submitted were discussed in a public jury meeting and 13 entries were selected as winners. The award-winning works can be viewed online at www.verhandel-bar.de/event/121-ideen-fuer-das-strafjustizzentrum and will be exhibited at the VerhandelBar from 22 August 2024.
As part of the presentation of the award-winning works at the VerhandelBar, the authors will explain their ideas and visions for the future of the Justice Centre in short presentations. Afterwards, there will be an opportunity to discuss the results over music and drinks at the VerhandelBar.
The ‘VerhandelBar’ is a low-threshold contact point and public negotiation space in the urban space on Sandstraße and is organised every Thursday by the Munich artist collective Tam Tam with a bar and sometimes performative, sometimes discursive events. The daily programme can be found on Instagram and the website.
