Feel frei and come to Freiham. It isn’t in the north of Munich, but rather in the city’s wild west. We are building a new city! 5,000 are there already, they feel free, no longer need a car, or parking lots, there’s a romantic ice cream parlor on the doorstep, cheerleading shows and rugby. The number will rise to 30,000 – some day! An eldorado for all construction workers. Surreal Pumuckl streets in Munich’s fresh air corridor. Parks, thermal power stations and highways. Great rave locations, skyscrapers, a street named after Rosa Kempf and the dark, infamous Centa-Hafenbrädl-Straße. High time to shine a light on this dark chapter of Munich’s urban politics with video artists Vanessa Hafenbrädl and Matthias Stadler. Freiham also deserves more freedom, permissiveness and sexiness. So please dress extra hot and help build this new sexy city.
Vanessa Hafenbrädl, born in 1979, lives and works in Dießen a. Ammersee
