The participatory project ‘Framing Freiham’ takes a photographic approach to the newly emerging neighbourhood, its residents and their social spaces. It is based on analogue photography in order to consciously enter into an exchange with the outdoor space and the people who work there. In workshops for adults and young people, the necessary basic knowledge was taught and photographed, developed and discussed over the course of the summer – together and individually. In a final presentation from 19 September, ‘Framing Freiham’ will be brought back into the public space as a polyphonic photographic view of the district: a photo exhibition of the workshop results on 30 construction fence banners, taking up the character of Freiham as a district under construction and in the making.
Ulrich Gebert, born in 1976, lives and works in Munich.
